About the Children's Ark Youth Services

The Children’s Ark Youth Services provides residential care for adolescents who are dependent and/or adjudicated a delinquent minor in need of care custody and controlled by the court. Emergency placement for up to 30 days is offered. Referrals can be initiated by contacting our Intake Department. Presently, the Children’s Ark serves girls between the ages of 12 and 18.

The Children’s Ark utilizes all available resources (public and private) in areas of physical and mental health; academic, religion, sports and overall life skills. The objective of The Children’s Ark is to provide a nurturing and stable environment to those adolescents in our care without regard to race; creed, color, national origin, religion and/or religious beliefs of their family.

The ark is funded by the counties contracted with The Children’s Ark and is licensed by The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the Department of Public Welfare.
